Unlike passive adapters ( Tripp Lite P134-000 ), Active adapters convert both Single-Mode and Dual Mode (DP++) DisplayPort output. It is ideal for use with graphics cards, such as AMD Eyefinity, that do not output Dual Mode (DP++) signals.
